BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW: WINDSHIELD SMASHER
Pittsburgh’s premier psych-synth quintet, Black Moth Super Rainbow, haven’t released an album in three years because Barnes & Noble only stocks Crash Test Dummies (almost definitely). But thanks to Eric Wareheim and his Kickstarter campaign (which you need to watch as the video is deeply weird and hilarious) they’ve managed to raise almost $90 LARGE in 15 days to fund their fifth LP, Cobra Juicy, set for an October release via their own label, Rad Cult.
It comes on a USB, wedged inside a tooth of mutant orange that you can wear… in your FACE (and use to scare milk money out of children). According to lead synth player, Tobacco, it leans in a more ‘demon skater’ direction, but you can have a listen to taster track, Windshield Smasher, and see for yourself. But be warned: Eric suggests you listen to it through your headphones in case your dad hears it and locks himself in the basement with your laptop, blazing wicked deep.
