Brooklyn’s Mz Qadiri grew up in Kuwait circa Operation Desert Storm and ironically, killed a lot of that time mastering the raid’s video gaming legacy: Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf.

Her concept EP Desert Strike double-taps this somewhat surreal childhood and is already the most interesting thing you’ll stream this week, even without the backstory that puts tumblrbia into banal perspective.
